Halloween Wreath - for my BFF!

So my BFF was over last weekend and she really liked my Halloween wreath I made (couple posts below), so I decided to surprise her with her very own! Her favorite color is green and she just loves it!

I made a quick tip to Michaels to get another black wreath and some green ribbon and glitter spiders. Well they only had the glitter spiders in purple so i bought the black ones and thanks to Martha Stewart's holiday glitter kits (I got on clearance last year for a couple bucks) I was able to make my own sparkly green spiders in just minutes.

Sorry about the fuzzy pics...I took them with my phone, somehow even though I own 3 cameras, not one of them was here at home! LOL
It just so happened that I had another "spooky" cut out which was my "tester" for the other wreath I made using the glow-in-the-dark glitter. Instructions for this sign is exactly the same as the other wreath except instead of the Martha Stewart cracks punch I used the Drippy Goo punch and the papers are different. I tried to copy and paste the info but it won't let me, GRRRR!!
Again, sorry for the horrible pics...if I remember next time I go to her house I will take a camera to get better pics and update.
Thanks for looking!

Glass Etching - quick & easy!

Here is a quick and easy project perfect for little "just because" gifts. I personalized glasses for some friends using my Cricut, vinyl and glass etching cream. I made this one a while ago and honestly don't remember if the font was from a cart or if I used my SCAL, LOL.
But I know for sure that the little flowers that go around the glass are from the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge.

Thanks for looking! Comments welcome! :)

Halloween Wreath

Here is a quick and easy halloween home decor project that I made. I used a plain black wreath purchased from Michael's along with the skulls, skeletons and purple spiders. I dug deep in my ribbon stash and found the perfect black ribbon with purple glitter dots, white spider webs & skeletons, which I believe I also purchased form M's in the past. I used my Bowdabra DH bought me years ago to make the bow and of course my hot glue gun was called to duty!

With all the dark colors the picture really don't show how cute this turned out! It's kinda a must see in person, LOL.

The "Spooky" sign hanging in the middle I made using...can you guess??? That's right! My Cricut Expression and Gypsy along with a few other supplies:

The background:
  • Layer 1 - 9" x 5-1/2" DCWV black cardstock
  • Layer 2 - 8-1/2" x 5" DCWV off-white glitter cardstock
  • Layer 3 - 8" x 4-1/2" DCWV purple shimmer cardstock (I used Martha Stewarts border & corner "Halloween Cracks" punches on this layer)

"Spooky" Phrase:

  • Background - I cut Post-it Craft Paper at 2-1/2"
  • Phrase - DCWV black glitter cardstock cut at 2-1/2"

I peeled the backing of the Post-it Craft Paper off and put the phrase on the adhesive side, then I sprinkled Martha Stewart's AMAZINGLY COOL glow-in-the-dark glitter all over it, shook it off and Wa-La! I have a totally cute glow-in-the-dark phrase!

I then added some Jolee's spiders that I have had for who knows how long! LOL I used some purple fibers I had to hang the sign on the nail behind the wreath. You can attached the phrase/sign to the wreath but I just hung ii behind it...makes it somewhat adjustable. :)

Thanks for looking!!

Check back often as there are many more projects on the way!!!

Cricut Imagine arrived Monday

...too bad it doesn't work!  I am so sad!  The power cord doesn't seem to be getting any power.  I called PC yesterday and they are sending me a new cord.  Hopefully once I get to turn it on there won't be any other problems.   I want to play!!!!!
