Halloween Card - Witch Boot

Ok, so I had to try making a card with this totally cute witch boot from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I made this using my Gypsy, welding two boots together (one flipped). Came out really cute.

I then finshed it off with ribbon laces. :) I gave this card to my Grandma, put a smile on her face.

Halloween Decor - Frames

This is my fireplace mantle that I spooked out for the month of October.

I found a couple 5x7 wood frames in a hallway cabinet that I spray painted black. Cut out the bat & skeleton frames using my Cricut Expression and the Happy Hauntings cartridge. I also cut out Frankenstein's bride with Happy Hauntings.

I cut the bottle of poison and the spider I glued on the same frame using the October 31st Seasonal Cart. The orange glitter cardstock (DCWV) was cut with Martha Stewarts cracks edge and corner punches.
The rest of the the decor was puchased from Michaels, Partylite & Costco.

Halloween Card - Quick & Easy - Spooky

Here is a quick & easy card...

I used black & orange cardstock from DCWV and a Jolee's Halloween embellishment. I also used my I-rock to add a little bling and a "spooky" stamp from my stash.
Here is a closer look...

Halloween Wreath - for my BFF!

So my BFF was over last weekend and she really liked my Halloween wreath I made (couple posts below), so I decided to surprise her with her very own! Her favorite color is green and she just loves it!

I made a quick tip to Michaels to get another black wreath and some green ribbon and glitter spiders. Well they only had the glitter spiders in purple so i bought the black ones and thanks to Martha Stewart's holiday glitter kits (I got on clearance last year for a couple bucks) I was able to make my own sparkly green spiders in just minutes.

Sorry about the fuzzy pics...I took them with my phone, somehow even though I own 3 cameras, not one of them was here at home! LOL
It just so happened that I had another "spooky" cut out which was my "tester" for the other wreath I made using the glow-in-the-dark glitter. Instructions for this sign is exactly the same as the other wreath except instead of the Martha Stewart cracks punch I used the Drippy Goo punch and the papers are different. I tried to copy and paste the info but it won't let me, GRRRR!!
Again, sorry for the horrible pics...if I remember next time I go to her house I will take a camera to get better pics and update.
Thanks for looking!

Glass Etching - quick & easy!

Here is a quick and easy project perfect for little "just because" gifts. I personalized glasses for some friends using my Cricut, vinyl and glass etching cream. I made this one a while ago and honestly don't remember if the font was from a cart or if I used my SCAL, LOL.
But I know for sure that the little flowers that go around the glass are from the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge.

Thanks for looking! Comments welcome! :)

Halloween Wreath

Here is a quick and easy halloween home decor project that I made. I used a plain black wreath purchased from Michael's along with the skulls, skeletons and purple spiders. I dug deep in my ribbon stash and found the perfect black ribbon with purple glitter dots, white spider webs & skeletons, which I believe I also purchased form M's in the past. I used my Bowdabra DH bought me years ago to make the bow and of course my hot glue gun was called to duty!

With all the dark colors the picture really don't show how cute this turned out! It's kinda a must see in person, LOL.

The "Spooky" sign hanging in the middle I made using...can you guess??? That's right! My Cricut Expression and Gypsy along with a few other supplies:

The background:
  • Layer 1 - 9" x 5-1/2" DCWV black cardstock
  • Layer 2 - 8-1/2" x 5" DCWV off-white glitter cardstock
  • Layer 3 - 8" x 4-1/2" DCWV purple shimmer cardstock (I used Martha Stewarts border & corner "Halloween Cracks" punches on this layer)

"Spooky" Phrase:

  • Background - I cut Post-it Craft Paper at 2-1/2"
  • Phrase - DCWV black glitter cardstock cut at 2-1/2"

I peeled the backing of the Post-it Craft Paper off and put the phrase on the adhesive side, then I sprinkled Martha Stewart's AMAZINGLY COOL glow-in-the-dark glitter all over it, shook it off and Wa-La! I have a totally cute glow-in-the-dark phrase!

I then added some Jolee's spiders that I have had for who knows how long! LOL I used some purple fibers I had to hang the sign on the nail behind the wreath. You can attached the phrase/sign to the wreath but I just hung ii behind it...makes it somewhat adjustable. :)

Thanks for looking!!

Check back often as there are many more projects on the way!!!

Cricut Imagine arrived Monday

...too bad it doesn't work!  I am so sad!  The power cord doesn't seem to be getting any power.  I called PC yesterday and they are sending me a new cord.  Hopefully once I get to turn it on there won't be any other problems.   I want to play!!!!!

Hello Kitty cake

This is the first cake my BFF made with her new Martha Stewart Edition Cricut Cake! It really came out cute (as you can see, LOL). She made it kinda topsy turvy...it was for my friends daughters Sweet 16 birthday. The Birthday Girl LOVED it!
We Cut out a #1 & a #6 and put them in Hello Kitty's hands. She used fondant for all the images/cutouts. "Happy Birthday", Hello Kitty, the heart w/wings, the flowers & dots (which came from the middle of the flower) were cut using Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge and "Samantha" and the numbers 1 & 6 were cut using the Calligraphy Collection cartridge. I think she just used shape cutter thingys that she has had for the hearts.

Anyway, thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome!! :)

"Indulge"

Earlier this year we started improvements on our house...my Sister & I painted for weeks!! LOL Anyway, we live in a very old house that needs much attention. DH suggested letting loose and get very colorful so that is what we did! This is a pic of the entry to the laundry room from the kitchen (the next entry is a bathroom that is under construction) of which we painted two of the walls "Morrocan Red". OMG I was scared! LOL but it came out pretty nice and the "cafe latte" decor I found match the color perfectly. I just haven't found anything to hang here so I decided to cut a word with my Cricut Expression & white vinyl. I used SCAL, font is my favorite...Edwardian Script. Thanks for looking! :)

B-day gift for BFF & card using Forever Young

I whipped up this card for my BFF's birthday to give to her along with her gift...the new Martha Stewart edition of the Cricut Cake! OMG she was soooooo excited!!!

I used patterned paper from the DCWV Cafe Mediterranean Premium Stack and cardstock from the coordinating cardstock stack. The gal is from the Forever Young cart, used a Martha Stewart border punch, yellow stickles on the dress and the "sweet wishes" is from My Pink Stamper's Simply Sweet Occasions stamp set.

Here is a pic we took of her and her new toy! She kept screaming "I can't believe I got it"!!! LOL

Anniversary gift

Last Saturday was our 6th Anniversary! My husband has always been so good about surprising me with gifts, but this year I got him, he didn't expect a gift! He had been wanting the Droid (cell phone) for months and Friday night at Costco they had it on sale for Mother's Day weekend at a price I just couldn't pass up! So I wrapped it up in Scrapbooking double-sided cardstock paper from Masterpiece Studios and used some ribbon & metallic fibers as its bow. Came out really cute and was super simple! He loves it!

Mom Card

So my NSD plan didn't work out. Shortly after my post a friend called and my husband & I ended up going out and well, lets just say that Sunday was a day for recovery, not creativity! LOL But before we left I was able to make this card for Robyn's (My Pink Stamper) first challenge. However I didn't ever get around to uploading it for the chance to win. But wanted to post it. I think I just might go ahead and still do all the challenges anyway.

So here it is!

I used Mother's Day Cricut cartridge for "mom" (cut at 1 1/2") and the flower (cut at 2 1/2") behind it, DCWV cardstock, the background is from KI Memories Daydream cardstock paper pack and DCWV Glitter cardstock. I also used my Martha Stewart ribbon punch along the top and ran ribbon through it that I believe came from Michaels.

Flower Storage Jar

Hi, just wanted to share a quick project I made. I bought this glass jar at Target for my Large faux flowers (of course I couldn't fit them all in there! LOL) and made a cute label for it with purple vinyl using George and Basic Shapes & the Home Decor cartridges. Very simple and only took a few minutes to complete. I hope you like it!

Look at what I got for FREE!! Glue Glider Max

Ok, well I guess it wasn't technically free but I didn't have to pull my wallet out of my purse! One of the local Scrapbook stores had a "garage sale" at the beginnning of February and I sold a bunch of old & new (new meaning I have had forever but never used, LOL) scrapbooking supplies, tools, storage, etc. The way it works is you price your stuff, they sell it for you at the "garage sale" and whatever $$ you make you get as store credit less 10% to cover their labor and stuff. Well I had a lot to sell and ended up with $225 store credit!! So I bought a bunch of stuff and ordered the Bind-it-All (because they didn't have any in stock at the time) and when I went to pick it up today I saw the Glue Glider Max on CLEARANCE!! It retails for $49.99, was 50% off, I had a coupon (spend $25 get $5 off) and I still had $24 store credit left! After my "purchase" I still have $.26 left store credit, LOL. :) SCORE!
Oh ya! Did I mention I got the Bind-it-All!?!?!?!? Gotta learn how to use it then I will post about it. :) hehe.
